When delivering feedback, it is very important to lay out all the facts of the situation so that readers can understand.
1. You may not post feedback dated before January 1st, 2005.
We are giving a cut off date to feedback to prevent users from bringing up events where evidence is generally destroyed and links are broken, or which could be used as a vendetta. If someone has scammed you, one year is enough time for them to clean up their act and be given another chance. However. If a scammer comes to life or negative feedback is given about a user and they scammed you before this date, you are permitted to then speak about your situation prior to this date.
Violators to this rule will get one warning before being banned.
2. Once a topic is posted you may begin posting positive and negative feedback.
Please be clear about your feedback. Do not just write, "A+++ seller." Please specify (unless it's embarassing) what you bought from the seller, if you were pleased with packaging/condition, and if you would buy from them again. Feel free to include any more information, such as good/poor contact, friendliness, overall pleasure with the transaction. We would like more then one liners.
3. If you have positive feedback elsewhere!
If you have threads of positive feedback elsewhere pertaining to ebay, bjd, livejournal, etc, in the body of your topic for that particular section, you may add a link.
4. Please absolutely no discussion in the feedback sections.
Everyone is sympathetic when it comes to negative feedback and being ripped off, but if you feel you need to offer sympathy to a poster, you can send them a private message. The only time discussion is allowed is when it is in the "scams and scalping" section and it is up for debate. Many people will be searching or forums quickly to check feedback and go to bid on their item and do not have time to read chitchat. It's nothing personal.
5. Vulgarity is not permitted.
We do not permit people to use vulgarity or attack other people in their feedback threads. If a package arrived broken or in poor condition and you are furious, before you post feedback, walk away from the computer, cool off, and return to write your feedback when you are level-headed and can post maturely.
5. There are always two sides to a story.
If you recieve negative feedback in your threads and feel it is not warrented, you may politely reply. If you would prefer to get a maintainer involved to assist the situation, you may do so. We will never lock a feedback thread and have you start a new one. It is inconvienent to other people who have left you feedback. If a situation occurs and it cannot be solved civilly, the maintainers will take the best course of action they see fit for the problem which can be up to deleting the entire conversation up to the original negative feedback or leaving everything.
If these rules are broken, maintainers reserve the right to delete these posts without warning.
